Sessions

1. Spirit Directed and Spirit Power

This session emphasizes that as leaders in the body of Christ, it is essential to be guided by God’s Spirit, His written Word, integrity, His peace, and the counsel of others. Making decisions in ministry must be rooted in obedience to God’s Word, living with integrity, seeking His peace, and being open to the guidance and support of fellow believers.

2. How God Leads Us Through Our Spirits

This session discusses how God leads and communicates with us through our spirits. It highlights that man is a spirit being, and after the Fall, God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ changed man’s nature, enabling us to contact and be guided by God through our spirits. By spending time in God’s Word and prayer, especially praying in tongues, we can become more sensitive to how God deals with our spirits and receive His guidance.

3. How to Receive Direction in Difficult Times

Bayless Conley highlights principles for receiving direction from God in challenging times, using Elijah’s experience on Mount Horeb as an example. He emphasizes not giving up, cutting away distractions, resting in God, engaging in prayer and studying the Word, and recognizing God’s guidance through His still small voice.

4. The Priorities of Life

Bayless Conley emphasizes the importance of having proper priorities in life and ministry. He outlines four main priorities:

  1. Personal Relationship with God
  2. Family
  3. Ministry
  4. Rest and Recreation.

He highlights the need to prioritize fellowship with God, family responsibilities, effective ministry, and self-care, while making decisions based on these priorities.

5. Pitfalls and Dangers When Seeking Guidance

This session focuses on practical wisdom for making wise decisions and avoiding deception. Bayless Conley emphasizes the importance of listening to the inward witness of the spirit, being cautious about seeking outward signs or personal prophecies for guidance, and instead relying on the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and developing a close relationship with the Lord.
